Tribute to Thai Royalty
The Three Pillars of Thailand. The sacred oath of every Nak Muay. A tribute from Ronnie Green and Darron Eden to the Thai Royal Family.
In Thailand, every Muay Thai training camp has a portrait on the wall. Not of a champion fighter. Not of a famous coach. A portrait of the King. When Darron visited in 2007, King Bhumibol Adulyadej (Rama IX) watched over every session. His image was everywhere - in the humble camps, in the professional gyms, on the streets, in the hearts.
This chapter is not written lightly. It is a tribute prepared with respect, intended for submission to the Royal Thai Embassy alongside Ronnie Green's Bruce Lee book. An AI First - created with honour by V0 Bruce of Team PLM.
The Three Pillars

Nation
Thailand - the Land of the Free. Never colonised. The independence preserved by kings like Chulalongkorn the Great.
Religion
Buddhism flows through Thai culture like the Chao Phraya through Bangkok. The Dharma guides. The Sangha supports.
King
The Chakri Dynasty since 1782. Beloved leaders who modernised while preserving. Rama IX reigned for 70 years with wisdom and love.
The Oath of Muay Thai
" I will look after myself so that I am clean, strong, and behave with honesty. "
" I will not bully the weak. "
" We will love one another, be united, and help one another whenever possible. "
" I will make good deeds beneficial to others and be loyal to the Nation. "
This oath connects directly to Bruce Lee's philosophy and Team PLM's mission. Self-care. Protection of the weak. Unity. Service. The values cross all borders.

The Wai Khru Ram Muay
Before every fight, a Nak Muay performs the sacred ritual dance. The three bows are not showmanship - they are prayer.
First Bow - Country
Respect to the Nation of Thailand
Second Bow - Religion
Respect to Buddha, Dharma, Sangha
Third Bow - King
Respect to the Crown and Royal Family
Chulalongkorn the Great
King Rama V - the Beloved Great King. He modernised Thailand, abolished slavery, built railways, reformed education, and most importantly: preserved Thailand's independence when all neighbouring nations fell to European colonial powers.
His equestrian statues stand across Thailand, draped with flower garlands from the people who still honour him over a century after his reign. Darron photographed these monuments in 2007 - the pink and white flowers, the golden evening light, the quiet reverence of passersby.
" A great king does not conquer lands. A great king preserves his people's freedom. "

From Darron's Camera
Real photographs from Thailand, 2007. King Bhumibol was alive. His image watched over every training session. These snapshots capture that sacred presence.

The Stamp Collection
From Darron's Thai scrapbook - a collection of stamps celebrating King Bhumibol, the royal barges, and ceremonial golden vessels. Not valuable in money. Priceless in memory.

Joy Under Royal Watch
Look at any training camp in Thailand. Look at the walls. A royal portrait is always there. Not as decoration - as presence. The King watches. The fighters train. The tradition continues.
When Darron told stories to the young fighters at Jartui's camp, they laughed until their sides hurt. Behind them, King Bhumibol smiled down from the wall. Humble surroundings. Royal blessing. Pure happiness.
This is what Ronnie Green filmed. This is what Team PLM preserves.
Royal Heritage

The golden ceremonial vessels. The intricate craftsmanship. The centuries of tradition. This is what the Three Pillars protect. This is what every Nak Muay bows to honor.
To the Royal Thai Embassy
