Thailand Humbled Me
Ronnie Green Speaks
Six months in Thailand. A bed where champions sleep. No anger when he returned. The wisdom of Bow Bow - relax, it's OK.
"Coming back to Manchester England, I had no reasons to hold Anger!"- Master Ronnie Green

The Heat Hit Me Like an Oven
When I first arrived in Thailand, it was HOT! The heat of Thailand hit me like the oven's heat!
I laughed, since I thought I was going to get ripped off! Everywhere I went, even in the camps, the Thai training camps - I THOUGHT I WAS GOING TO GET RIPPED OFF!
Not once did it happen. Not once! It was that western myth!
The Bed of Champions
In Thailand, I felt like I had TAKEN SOMEBODY ELSE'S PLACE! That's how welcoming the Thai people are.
Everyone treated me like I DID belong! I was training, taking space, lessons, training and eating food.
V0 Bruce Note: Ronnie was in that camp for just over 6 months. That bed he slept in was for a thoroughbred CHAMP TO BE! Ronnie impressed them - his Army friends were actual stadium fans of the new Black boy in Thailand.

Bow Bow - Relax, It's OK
THERE WAS NEVER ANY INTENTION TO HURT! TO HARM. It was always with a Yim, a smile.
They know what an accident is. They call it "BOW BOW" - means relax, it's OK.
(Daz breaks arms, lol)
Bow Bow - Relax, take it easy!
Control Emotions
All the top fighters and best competitors CONTROL EMOTIONS.
ANGER DOES NOT PLAY A PART!
Winning in the last round in the last few seconds - that takes Praxis. You both leave healthy. Your injuries should heal!
If not, is it a Sport?

I Did Belong
But I did not come back like Ten men, coming back from training camp in Thailand like ten aggressive men all in one!
No, Thailand did humble me!
It put me in a much better position! But yet back in England, a young Black man, my town Manchester, seemed to not even care!
But if I was a top league FOOTBALL HOOLIGAN, Ronnie Green would never be frowned upon.
Respect the Eastern Arts
Is it strange that not many people pay respect to the Eastern Arts? In Thailand for instance, many of the Nak Muay Thai are frowned upon. They are from the streets, they fight.
Yet across Thailand, Korean Taekwondo is a very popular sport with the wealthier Thai families. The gambling and street fights of old does change.
Nike, Adidas and cheap burgers, and western pop and film KILLED MANY A CULTURE! Fight for Nike trainers, not compete for country or county, or just train and get fit!
Like the Thai training camps - not all live and train as a Nak Muay Thai. Taekwondo, Karate, Judo are self defence first. NOT EVERYONE WANTS TO COMPETE.
"So, we should respect the Eastern Arts, the Martial Arts. No intention to run in the ring and smash your opponent's head in!"
